Free on-demand digital entertainment offerings have least impact on airline selection

Survey results reveal that 59%, 41% and 40% of executives consider ‘more comfortable seating’, ‘free baggage check’ and ‘good communication with airlines for pre-flight check-ins, flight updates via text message, etc.’ respectively as the most influencing factors for airline selection.

Additionally, 21% and 17% of respondents indicated ‘ability to select seatmates prior to the flight’ and ‘free on-demand digital entertainment offerings’ respectively as factors with minimal impact on airline selection decisions. 9% of respondents highlighted that they do not travel for business by air.

Most respondents spend less than two days on leisure when extending a business trip. According to survey results, 42% of executives have extended business trip with 0–2 additional days for leisure. Moreover, 15% of respondents indicated that they have not extended a business trip. Analysis of responses by region indicates that the highest percentage of executives operating in North America and Europe have spent less than 2 days for leisure when extending a business trip. Additionally, 31% of respondents with operations in Asia-Pacific noted the number of extra days spend for leisure at 0–2, while 33% of executives operating in the Rest of the World identified the number of additional leisure days at 2–4.
