$ Global demand for domestic appliances is forecast to expand 3.3% p.a. between 2014 and 2018. Bangladesh, China, Japan, Tanzania, United States are considered the highest potential markets in the coming years.

According to recently published research conducted by a leading international market research company, Global Research & Data Services, the expansion of the global domestic appliance industry is forecast to reach 3.3% p.a. in the coming years. Between 2007 and 2013 the market increased with an average annual growth of 7.1%. Currently, kitchen appliances account for 46.1% of the global demand while the remaining market share is divided between laundry appliances (10.4%), heating appliances (6.8%), vacuum cleaners (6.8%), electric shavers and hair care equipment (5.5%), electric fans (4.1%), water heaters (4.0%), electro-thermic hand drying equipment (0.1%), parts for domestic appliances (6.0%) and other domestic appliances (10.3%).

China, Germany, Japan, South Korea and the United States represent the largest domestic appliance markets while the strongest annual growth is forecast to occur in Tanzania (22.2%), Bangladesh (12.4%), Bolivia (12.1%), Jordan (9.4%) and Sri Lanka (9.2%).
